Tax Credits to Benefit St. Andrew's

Announcing a New Tax Credit Opportunity to help low-income seniors remain living safely in their own homes.

How would you like to decide where your tax dollars go? What if we told you that you could direct a portion of your tax dollars to help low-income seniors remain living safely and independently in their own homes? The State of Missouri agrees that our low-income charitable care program is making a tremendous impact on the lives of St. Louis Seniors in need and has agreed to offer an incentive to our donors who make a contribution to help St. Andrew's provide in-home supportive care to help seniors maintain their independence safely in their own homes. Now, thanks to these Missouri Neighborhood Assistance Tax Credits, you can help seniors in need for a total cost of 19 cents on the dollar or less!

St. Andrew's Charitable Foundation has partnered with the Missouri Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP), which provides tax credits to donors to provide community services to St. Louis. The credit amount is equal to 50% of the donation amount.

How Does Your Gift Help Seniors?

There are 10,000 seniors living in extreme poverty in the city of St. Louis. They have trouble affording such necessities as food, medicine, rent, and healthcare. With longevity often comes the reality of decreased mobility, increased health concerns, and a greater need for assistance. These seniors have contributed decades of work, paid their taxes, raised their families, sacrificed, and paved the paths for our generations. Now, in their later years, they find that they need assistance and support to continue living safely and independently. Many seniors are living in unsafe environments at incredible risk of injury. With your help, we can honor their contributions to this world by lifting them up at a time that they feel most helpless.

With your help, we can provide low-income seniors with comprehensive in-home care and safety program allowing them to maintain their independence living safely in their own home. Each senior will receive an average of 178 hours of in-home care by one of our caregivers to help them with daily activities like bathing, meal preparation, laundry, and transportation to doctor appointments etc. Additionally, each senior receives an in-home safety assessment and the oversight of a Geriatric Care Manager. Without your extra assistance to continue this program, these individuals face having to leave their homes, independent lifestyles and the "family" of neighbors they have grown to love, to receive a more expensive and higher level of nursing home care. Furthermore, this program increases each senior’s safety and quality of life while decreasing the risk of injuries and hospitalization.
