In the past few years, individuals have made meaningful gifts to us to help the older adults we serve through a bequest in their Will. A bequest in your Will is one of the easiest and most common ways for you to make a gift and the tax laws encourage bequests, which makes them an excellent way to support Reaching for the STARS Charitable Fund programs. A bequest through your Will or Trust enables us to meet the needs of thousands of older adults by providing financial assistance with senior housing and community services. Bequests work well for donors who cannot make an outright gift, but want to aid us in the future. If you plan to make a charitable gift by will, please meet with your attorney to discuss and update your will and be as clear as possible about what you want given to whom. Your attorney can provide the proper wording to include St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors in your estate plan.
