How distressful was it to read again that another older adult died due to the extreme heat. Apparently, the woman was not found for two weeks in her home, which did not have a working air conditioner.
We implore all neighbors, friends and family members to check on all the older adults in their lives to be sure they are dealing okay with this heat wave. With extensive high temperatures, it does not take long for an older person to start to suffer from heat exhaustion and then heat stroke.
