My mother lived to the age of 97 and had a fairly good life—not easy—but good.  However, there was a period she suffered greatly for many weeks for something at that time I knew little about—shingles.

Heat wave claims another life

How distressful was it to read again that another older adult died due to the extreme heat.  Apparently, the woman was not found for two weeks in her home, which did not have a working air conditioner.
